Pedestal Systems for elevating pavers and joists -

Plastic and Non-combustible Steel

Ideal for elevating and leveling porcelain and concrete pavers, Ipe wood tiles, synthetic turf and plank decking on sloping commercial and residential rooftop decks, pool decks, terraces, balconies and more.

Eliminate traditional joist systems and topping slabs with a pedestal system equipped to elevate and level pavers, wood tiles, and joists for composite decking over sloping substrates such as rooftop decks, terraces and balconies. Considered a ‘floating’ deck system, nothing needs attached to the structure and so long as perimeter containment exists on all sides, perhaps by parapet walls and the building itself, lateral shifting and movement is not a concern.

The strong and durable polypropylene pedestal system has a load capacity exceeding 4,000lbs per pedestal, able to support hot tubs, service bars, outdoor kitchens, pergolas and more on elevated decking. Ranging in heights from 1/3” Lord Series pedestals to over 35” high Queen Series pedestals, this fully adjustable pedestal system comes with a wide diameter base to distribute loads and protect substrates like waterproof membranes and foam insulation sheets, a head that is rubber coated to eliminate the possibility of sound where paver touches pedestal, and built in spacing tabs available in three width options to maintain consistent gaps between pavers to ensure rapid water drainage off the surface.

The non-combustible mild steel pedestal system achieves the Class A1 fire rating sometimes required for specific installations. Ranging in height from 1” to 19", these pedestals have a load capacity exceeding 11,000lbs and with an electrophoretic treatment resist rust and corrosion.

Prefer decking boards over large format pavers? Replace the pedestal’s paver head with the joist head to create a joist system elevated and leveled, but not attached to, the substrate.

Drains, electrical conduit and gas lines are conveniently out of sight but readily accessible under the elevated deck surface. Inspections, routine maintenance and repairs are more easily accomplished by lifting pavers or planks from their support pedestals, and replacing them when finished.

‘Lord’ Pedestal System:

The Lord pedestal series is comprised of three (3) pedestals capable of elevating pavers from 1/3” up to 3/4” above substrates.

‘Junior’ Pedestal System:

The Junior pedestal series is comprised of three (3) pedestal sizes capable of elevating pavers from 1/2” up to 1 1/4” above substrates. Self-leveling heads and shims are available to level pavers where substrate slope exceeds 1/4” per linear foot .

‘Queen’ Pedestal System:

The Queen pedestal series is comprised of five (5) pedestal sizes to elevate pavers from 3/4” up to 9 1/4” above substrates. Self-leveling heads and shims are available to level pavers where substrate slope exceeds 1/4” per linear foot. Higher elevations are possible with pedestal extensions.

Non-combustible Steel Pedestal System:

The steel pedestal series is comprised of seven (7) pedestal sizes to elevate pavers from 1” up to 19 1/3” on substrates. Class A1 fire rating, resistant to rust and corrosion.
