Exterior Porcelain Pavers

Unlike 3/8” (1cm) thick interior porcelain tile, large format porcelain pavers are heavier duty and designed for exterior use. Ranging in thickness from 3/4” (2cm) to 1 1/8” (3cm), porcelain pavers are designed with a non-slip surface making them safe for all outdoor paving including pool decks and high traffic commercial spaces.

Porcelain pavers are made from an all natural mix of clay, sand, quartz, kaolin and feldspar, without the addition of toxic resin, glue or cement. The mix is molded into a wide variety of dimensions ranging from 4” cobblestone cubes to 12”-48” pavers, and 48”-92” planks, then pressed with hydraulics at over 7,000 PSI and finally kiln fired at 2,500 deg F to achieve a transformation into an unabsorbent paving material.

Compared to brick, concrete, stone and even ceramic tiles, porcelain pavers are more dense and therefore less porous, making them resistant to stain absorption, acid, mold and mildew. They do not require treatments to prevent fading or staining, and the cleaning process is typically just water, and occasionally a mild soap solution.

Our porcelain pavers are rectified, having perfectly straight side profiles and 90 degree corners, and a consistent thickness throughout, leading to efficient and aesthetically designed installations.

Non-slip Porcelain tiles and Cladding

Traditional 3/8” porcelain tiles are available for covered interior and exterior walking surfaces where water may be present, manufactured with the same non-slip ‘Grip’ surface as 3/4” exterior pavers. These outdoor tiles are only suitable for mortar and grout applications, laid over a hard flat surface such as concrete to create stunning pool decks and patios. Also available in 3/8” thickness is porcelain tile wall cladding, available in numerous styles and colors to complement a variety of interior and exterior design preferences.

Many colors are available as pavers and tiles, offering creative opportunities for tiled pool decks flowing seamlessly to on-grade pavers set in compacted sand, gravel and/or dirt beds for walkways and additional lounging areas, or elevated and leveled on rooftop deck and balconies.
